Harlem Dance Club has been offering affordable workshops in Harlem since 2013. Our Community Classes are intended to create opportunities for non-professional adult dancers, but are open to all ages and experience levels. These spirited dance training sessions are intended to introduce a combination of new and familiar dance vocabulary. The summer 2015 Community Class series featured guest artists Robin Dunn, Chrybaby Cozie, Kim Holmes, Deena Clemente of TruEssencia, Korie Genius, Dister and Jazzy J.
In Fall 2015 we will launch our first performance workshop series which will be a collaboration with The Children's Aid Society Dunlevy Milbank Center and Lite Feet Nation. This multi-week series will give participants an opportunity to work with Chrybaby Cozie - pioneer of the Lite Feet dance movement that began in Harlem in the 2000's.
Participation in workshops is free. If you are interested in performing in the culminating event there will be a mandatory costume fee.
