MOTHERSHIP FOUR
SUMMER PERFORMANCE INCENTIVES

Perform with Harlem Dance Club on the MOTHERSHIP stage!

Join Harlem Dance Club for a FREE 7-week All-Levels Performance Intensive culminating in an original performance at MOTHERSHIP FOUR on September 17, 2022. All ages and abilities welcome!

The MOTHERSHIP FESTIVAL is an annual intergalactic voyage of music and dance at the Richard Rodgers Amphitheater in Marcus Garvey Park.

Harlem Dance Club offers unique multi-week workshops that culminate in live a performance and/or photo & video shoot. Our Performance Workshops are open to all ages and experience levels.

Summer Performance Intensives introduce choreography, performance technique, character development, costume and styling design all leading up to an exciting culminating event.

PRAISE DANCE 2022 PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

The Praise workshop will include a variety of dance genres combined into 1 choreographed piece. We will also explore in detail the meaning of the dance and make it relative to the dancer's own life's experience. See video from choreographer LaSharn Patt here! This piece will be set to the song “Won’t Let Go” by Travis Green.

CLUB HDC 2022 PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

Collaborate with Harlem Dance Club’s resident artists to create an original performance piece set to the iconic 1992 dance anthem "Push The Feeling On" by Nightcrawlers.

Inspired by legendary New York nightclubs and TV Dance shows from around the country like “The New Dance Show,” “Soul Train,” “Attack of the Boogie” and “MTV’s The Grind,” HDC’s signature style is a modern take on freestyle, social dances, party dances and contemporary dance set to a 90’s club soundtrack.
