Cesar Valentino
Cesar has training in many dance disciplines such as modern, jazz, street jazz, Latin jazz, Afro Caribbean, hustle and salsa but has recently celebrated 33 years of Vogue dance experience. He has created his own signature style of Vogue: Pop, Dip and Spin with grace and precision, combining traditional military style hieroglyphics with acrobats and spins. In 1988, he walked his first ball in Harlem's Elks lodge where he won and quickly became a fixture in the ballroom scene winning many coveted trophies. Cesar has appeared in music videos with Toni Braxton, Carmen Electra and K7, as well as in the documentaries “The House of Tres,” “Voguing the Message” and “Paris is Burning.” Cesar most recently appears in the Netflix series “The Get Down.” He is currently a faculty member of The Alvin Ailey Extension where he teaches the first official vogue class in Ailey's history.

No. This workshop will blend many elements including performance technique, freestyle, party dances and of course draw from Cesar Valentino's background and strengths, including vogue.
HOW WILL I KNOW IF THIS IS THE RIGHT WORKSHOP FOR ME?
If you are unsure if you want to commit to the entire workshop, be sure to attend the first session at no risk. We aim to create a safe and nurturing environment to nurture your love of dance, but if you aren't coming to have a good time, this is not the right workshop for you.
